SALT is made up of selected individuals (ages 16-29) who volunteer themselves for one week of ministry to children during the annual LA District Kids Camp. The camp dates are Monday through Friday, June 2-6. All applicants must be able to attend the SALT training weekend prior to camp, May 30 - June 1. You will receive invaluable leadership training by highly qualified instructors. Plus, you will have the unique joy of having touched the lives of children in ways that will impact them beyond Kid's Camp. This camp is all about serving kids.

As a SALT volunteer, you will be provided a cool t-shirt, a place to stay, and meals. There is no other remuneration than the satisfaction of serving God through ministry to children.

THE PROCESS FOR APPLYING IS AS FOLLOWS
- Applicant must turn 16 by June 1, 2025 per LA District UPC.
- Download the Confidential Questionnaire here, Leadership Guidelines Form here, and Medical Release Form here. Fill out Confidential Questionnaire and Leadership Guidelines Form, and make sure it is signed by both you and your pastor. Have your guardian complete the Medical Release Form. Your application will not be reviewed if these forms are incomplete.
- Fill out the online application below. Upon clicking submit, you will be directed to the payment page. Submit payment via credit/debit card. You will receive a confirmation email upon submission of your application. If you do not see an email, check your spam. If you have not received a confirmation email, contact us at lasaltmedia@gmail.com with the subject: “Application Question.” (If you do not receive an email, you either did not press "submit" or your email address had a typo.) Your check-in pass for SALT Training will be attached. If you are not accepted into SALT 2025, the pass will be invalid. You are not a member of SALT 2025 until you receive an acceptance email from lasaltmedia@gmail.com. We will make an announcement on social media once the emails have been sent.
- At SALT, there are many ways in which you can support the team. This year, we want to see who would be interested in some of these additional roles. You can learn more about what areas are available (like sound, content creation, ABLE Ministry, public speaking, etc.) and let us know you are interested by reviewing and completing this form: "Where can you serve in SALT". Everyone at SALT has a valuable role, and you are not required to choose one of the areas listed on that form. The roles listed on the form are in addition to having a group of campers throughout the week, with the exception of Coaching.
- If you are interested in being a Coach, please also fill out the "Where can you serve in SALT" form. Coaches are members of SALT who have been around for a few years and are willing to support and prepare their small group members throughout the SALT experience. If you are interested in any of the other roles, in addition to being a Coach, you can fill out the form multiple times.
- If you are chosen, you will be notified by email after the application process is closed and all applications have been reviewed. Please make sure your email address is valid. Do not use the same email address as another SALT applicant.
- The District Sunday School Department will approve all selections.
- You are required to agree with a dress code at SALT. You can view that dress code here.

- Fee of $75.00 ($100 if after April 4)*
